Purpose of demo trading

not just that, it helps you to practice trading and understand the basics of trading.. A newbie cannot just go live without understanding how things function.

Purpose of demo trading is to prepare the beginner how forex works, how prices moves and how it looks on the terminal. There is no real loss but can teach you many important aspects for forex trading.

I agree with orlandoGT instead of focusing on consistent profit. The best would be to focus on consistent trades because earning profits should not be the focus now for beginners; it should be on trading and learning much as possible.

demo is important for ensuring all basic knowledge but i dont like to trade in there , because there is no real money and we cant focus on there consistently , so i think micro account is the good solution,.

Agreed buddy! Along with this, only live trading teaches us how to control our emotions while trading.

I consider demo trading a great way to learn and get aware of the market which really helps out while making live trades.

according to me demo is important , but sometimes instead of demo there is need to start live account which is very supportive to make sure live knowledge and experience.

Once you begun to understand the basic concepts, you can gradually move to live with small capital.
The more your practice, the more you learn.

When trading on the demo, you can get experience in the real market. This is much better than testing strategies on history.

In demo account, we can test our strategy before applying it on live trading. It is not a good idea to use any strategy directly to a live account without any experiment.

From the day I started my trading journey, demo accounts played the most important part for my learning. I preferred these to test strategies before risking it with live trading.

The main purpose of demo trading is to dive a rookie into trading activity. Actually, this purpose is quite clear. It is created to teach new traders how to treat the market. Of course, there is no theory on demo, just practice, but lots of brokers nowadays provide you with special educational courses which are directed to teaching you theory of trading. Of course, you should dedicate enough time to it, however if your intentions are strong and you have really decided to connect your life with trading, then you must pass all the steps on your way to success and wealth. It's hard enough, but there are no other ways.

Demo accounts are used by stock trading platforms, foreign exchange trading venues, and commodities exchanges. Demo accounts are geared toward those who've always wanted to trade, but don't have enough money, have the money but don't know where to start, or are experienced traders who want to test new strategies.

I think demo accounts serve a great purpose and those that use them long enough and actually focus on strategies are much more prepared when they switch to a real account. It's true that you don't get the emotional aspect of trading from a demo, but that doesn't mean that one should skip over them.
