Yea, for complete newbies its best to start with some high regulated broker like NFA, ASIC, or FCA. Stay away from brokers with multiple regulators, stay away from tax havens, and stay away from offshore brokers. Those who have more experience can consider some of the offshore brokers, which at the end of the day, only those with experience should be trading with higher leverage.

do a bit more research. A goodplace to start is babypips.com and take their free little courses there. Start forrmt he begining and go painfully slow and absorb everrything until the end. then come back to this post.

Confidence isn't the issue, its unjustified confidence and the actions made following. Some allow the arrogance of unjustified overconfidence to let them trade without a SL, trade without testing first the strategy, and so on. Ive met alot of traders in this industry, and the ones that usually have issues are the ones who are reckless with their accounts like a teenager first hitting puberty. Pay attention to....is it confidence from a proven track record or arrogance? And someone stated above keep your professionalism which removes the emotions. The numbers dont lie....if you are not...

Depends where you are from, what kind of offers you want/dont want, and level of "unknown" risks you are willing to accept. Understand how regulators work in the international environment is a big step. Some dont offer protection for citizens/residents outside the regulating country, some will only allow you to submit a case in person and you msut attend the legal preceedings (can be costly if that country is the other side of the globe, and so on. Its really a key to understand how the regulators work both for the client side and broker side to make the choice thats best for you....

I think its happening mostly when market is holding in the overbought or oversold region for too many periods. Im working on adjusting the number of periods based on the market and currency pair....a friend of mine recommended using ADP to help in this calculation. What do you think?

hey everyone, I am working on a a stratedgy using RSI with custom levels paired with Accelerator and candlesticks on h4 or h1. This stratedgy is missing somehting as im noticing market entry is a hair early. What would you add in?

best idea is to learn several strategies and indicators then build your own strategy. Strategies are like personalities....everyone might have some similarities but they are all unique in some way. Here is a small checklist plugin I worked on for MT4. Could be useful in keeping track of your trading plan.

days? shoot can be milliseconds for some. On the under-confident side you'll get market vengeance seekers and those chasing the market. The key is to keep yourself as robotic as possible, especially when it comes to ego.

Couldnt agree more. I use test accounts when trying different methods out and such, but always try not to be so frivolous with the trading and such. Its like putting on a costume and pretend its real for a few moments and never jsut place traders to place trades. Discipline!

I dont know why everyone is so stuck in this search for the holy grail. With the amount of time and money people invest in searching for the right EA they could learn enough to be successful traders of their own. Definitely. When I was living in the states I had my CWP and kept a few guns in the house, and I encountered 2 situations (1 a breaking and entering into my house with me home and the other breaking and entering into my vehicle with me home) when I needed them. Oddly enough it protected both of the individuals AND myself until police arrived. But my problem was with saying the issues happened BECAUSE police didnt have weapons.

You think people willing to die as a martyr for their cause are really concerned with IF they will get shot? I seem to remember in the USA where guns are plenty of incidents where airplane crashed into buildings, pressure cooker bombs blew up happy sporting events, a van blew up a world trade center, multiple mass murders due to ONE gunman at a school, and the list goes on.....I am American and all for 'merica cuz %$#^ yea! but saying the problem is guns or lack of guns is retarded. The problem is bad people will find a way to do bad things because its what they do and their motivations ...

Yea your friend is right, there would be as history has proven. I recall one serious debacle that happened when forces were invading an area where there were no enemy forces and yet still had casualties. So then we would be come worse than the terrorists?

That is about the most ridiculous thing I have read today. If that is the case every police officer in the world needs to carry a rocket launcer, chaingun, and have full access to drones, artillary, etc. The probelm isnt becuase the police didnt have guns, etc. 911 happened right?
