Please note that I don't do automated trading. Each and every trade has been analyzed and taken manually.

I sincerely do not agree that every managed accounts provider is a scam, considering that providers like Kangaroo EA (TulipFX) offers really good and real performance.

You just need to find a good company with experienced money managers.

I don't know if it counts as an ad but I hear pulse-forex.com people offers real performance with track record, as far as I understand, they are a germany based finance company.

Hi all, please have a look at my recent performence. I think I am managing my money quite well because expecting more than 4-5% a month is foolishness in trading. What do you think?

Does anyone have any idea how much return a typical proptrader gives?

Cheers
its a demo account, please fund a live account and we'll watch how you go

Yes that looks a to be a good trader to me also, 149% in 15 months.

As you can see, the trader has over 40 people tracking his results... compare that to fxtom and his 1 tracking person.

A note of caution.....this is automated trading. I don't think any serious fund manager ever considers using robots to trade 4 them.

Why not? Just because you do manual trading and not automated, don't think that it will not work. I do automated trading that doesnt mean i will leave it for fate, i will always be monitoring it. If anything happens i am always going to interfere. Automated trading aids in entry and exit points. When you do it manually, you are bound to make mistakes. i have done it. sometimes i miss the entry, sometimes i place the wrong lot sizes, what not, everything. By automating my trades are always at precide entry levels and correct lot sizes. Anyways i am not criticizing you here. There are lot many advantages by autotrading. Just use them for your advantage.

There are pro's and cons for both methods... manual and robot.

I have never found a robot that can be trusted to operate on its own, but by the same token, I've yet to find a manual trader that can be trusted for any length of time either.

Currently I am testing a robot on my live account (and my clients) but it is sincerely with fingers crossed, and a tight rein.

It took over 20 winning trades on my personal account last week, so I put it on my clients account also, but is now in a small drawdown with 10 open trades.

Manual trading is always done first so that you know your system inside out. Automation can be implemented after that for efficiency. There is no room for error when you are trading client money. If one can't even ensure manual trades are executed without error, you won't be able to handle automated trades when something screws up especially when you start handling 6 and 7 figure accounts.
The trend is your friend!
