Wackena: Do you think Version 4 would have taken the same hit as did Version 2?

Hello Mr Wackena,
Thanks for sharing your neat EA w/ us. =) What is the lowest starting balance we can trade w/ your EA? For v4f? For v3a?
Also, if you don't mind me asking... What is the theory behind your EA? Can you please explain what would have to happen for the EA to place an order, & after however much then the EA will place another order & so forth. And when does it take profit?
Last question, do you program your own EA? If so, would there be any chance you can help me program mine? Thanks in advance...

Does this EA works on all pairs and all time frames? What's the optimum?

I've only have run on EURUSD and USDCHF on H1 charts.

Hi Wackena, just a few questions if you don't mind.
Is it necessary to change the GMTOffSet from 2 to 3 or is Okay to leave it as it is? What would be the difference in trading?
The EA trades H1! Can we move around on that time frame or would that affect the EA's entries? In other words do we set it on H1 and leave alone?

Thanks,

You need to set GMTOffSet to your broker's server GMT. Now, FXDD is GMT+3. Difference would be using different value for Previous Day Close. Backtests on 3 different broker's with server times showed a difference if GMT Offset was not used. So far, all of my backtests, demos and live accounts have been on EURUSD and USDCHF on H1 chart.

I guess I wasn't to clear on my last question regarding the time frame 'Can we move around on that time frame or would that affect the EA's entries? In other words do we set it on H1 and leave it alone?'

I'm wondering if when we flip through the time frames while the EA is placed on the chart on H1. For example if after we place the EA on the H1 chart and we go take a pick at the H4 or any other and leave it there, would that affect the entry.
Is the code set to trade H1 time frame only or it depends where we place the EA?

I apologize if I'm not being too clear.

Thanks!

The tmeframes used by EA are hardcoded and in theory you should be able to change chart timeframes, Although, I've not tested changing chart timeframes while there are open trades.

Correct,, you can flick through the different time frames while the trades are active without any effect on the trades as long as you dont close the chart you will be ok.
If you search in the right places eventually you will get what you want

Hi Wackena,

Please advise why today there is a gap of 53 pips between 2nd and 3rd Sell orders of USDCHF while between others there are 21-22 pips?

Right now I have 3 buy positions on FXDD demo. The first was opened on March 22. The trade signal is still BUY. So I guess the system is somewhat depended on the moment you start it.

BTW, I felt a bit uneasy when Mr Wackena admitted that the recent loss was a result of restarting MT4 console, as I pointed out that myfxbook stats had not shown current state on Monday, but it looks that the SL would have been hit anyway...

I am awfully sorry for this newbie question, I just started using MetaTrader and Bogie-Hedgehog-v4f and when I 'Execute on Chart' I get these warnings/errors:

2010.03.24 15:31:27 Bogie-HedgeHog-v4f GBPUSD,H1: removed
2010.03.24 15:31:27 Bogie-HedgeHog-v4f GBPUSD,H1: uninit reason 0

2010.03.24 15:31:27 Bogie-HedgeHog-v4f GBPUSD,H1: initialized

Am I missing something here, are there som settings I need to adjust (I have accepted Auto-Trade in options and pressed the Expert Advisors), anything else I should do. I have a demo account by Alpari UK.

Or should I simply disregard the above messages?

Entry gaps on v4 version can vary because EA is only active at new bar start. Other versions are active on every tick.

It is best to start this EA at new day start.

uninit reason 0 is Script finished its execution independently. This usually means you have put EA in the wrong folder. Make sure EA is in the experts folder.

Is the V2 graph displayed here on myfxbook actually now V4f?
Could it be that Euro/USD is too volatile now for any martingale, given the political situation in the U.S. and Europe?

This gap is right now on your V2 accont! Therefore was also the question!
