Is the V2 graph displayed here on myfxbook actually now V4f?
Could it be that Euro/USD is too volatile now for any martingale, given the political situation in the U.S. and Europe?
Yes, after the loss, v4f is now running on this myfxbook account. Yes, again. Martingale type EA do not link longer extended trends. It prefers a cyclic up and down trend.

but since yesterday 23/3/10 at 17:00 till now, both pairs NO SIGNAL
not opened any orders today, while yours opened trades.
what to do?
do i have to reset EA?

Anthony
In the past, I have seen the same thing between demo accounts and live to demo accounts on same broker.

The EA runs the same code on all Brokers. I found that different results  are from connectivity to server (Latency Times) issues and/or Spread and Stop Level settings by broker.
It only takes 1 pip to make or miss a trade signal.

Demo and Live accounts by their nature will never have identical results. Demo has more static spreads and Stop Level, while with Live account these are always changing. Also, Demo accounts are direct market feeds, while Live accounts are through Broker's Bank to Market. This effects latency times and Broker's live account server can refuse order calls during high volume periods. This is the nature of Live account trading.

I have run 2 Live accounts on separate PCs, on same broker, same EA, same settings and had different results.

Definitely, maybe during the definied trend times one should allow only trades that go along the trend? The marked was swinging in the period up till the last loss now it seems definitely favor dollar.

Is it reasonable to presume that the loss would not have occurred had Version 4f been in play? The loss shook my growing confidence, but even so, there is still a significant profit for the month of March. Should we explore other currency pairs? Are there others you consider safer, yet profitable? Would a strategy of playing four or more pairs with, say, a risk of 5% each, improve the safety, yet still retain the profitability? Thanks, Glenn

OLD TICK means usually there is a latency issue. Check the trace time from your PC to the brokers trade server.

The EA as is only places trades when daily moving average current bar and 1 bar back is in correct direction for trade type. The problem with Martingale EAs is when they get caught in a false reversal that ends up in an extended trend in the wrong direction. If convinced this is he case, it would be best to manual close trades and take the hit as early as possible.

I have loaded up Aud/NZD and Aud/CAD, retained USD/CHF, and dropped Euro/USD. Peter Schiff says the dollar is due a monster collapse this year. Gerald Celente agrees. Jim Rogers says the Euro will tank, and has shorted the Euro big-time.
The Aud pairs historically oscillate a great deal, with frequent retracements, and operate in a narrow range, which I think will make them ideal for this robot. A year ago, I lost a bundle to the Euro/USD using another martingale, when the pair took off like a rocket, and did not return, before I went bust. Robominer reputedly uses these Aud pairs, for this reason. The Aud/NZD has traded twice in the past few hours. I think I will sleep better, knowing that Bernanke and Goldman-Sachs are sure to destroy the dollar and the Euro. Obama called me this morning to get my advice. 😁Glenn

Is there a fixed TP on the system?
I noticed from history EU is 32 - 35 as an average target pips yet todays trade has traded to +42 from entry and was not closed.
Can you advise of TP scenarios in the system.

Thanks

With first trade, tp is set a previous day close. Sequential trade tp set to previous trade open price.

Hi Wackena
EURUSD opened SELL order on 25/3/10 (today) at 12:00 price 1.33602 , yesterday close was 1.33280
at 15:00 the price went down to 1.33174 with profit, (as you mentioned up, the tp is set to previous day close), the order didn't close and still opened.
please, your comment?

Now you see that orders are not closing at previous day close but in beginning of new hour when candle is closing below it!

I would say that it is wrong philosofy as if we want to take profit at some level then we must take it with first hit and not to wait when the hour will end as there could not be a second chance! I would advise to correct this case and then this EA will be good again!

I am using the v4f with the FXDD malta demo account. i thought the EA is being set to open max 4 trades only, but my account already have 5 opening positions now, even in the myfxbook, the opening trades are more than 4 already. Am i missing something about this EA?

When TrailingStop kicks in both SL and TP are modified in attempt to chase profit.

I do not know why as that has never happened during my backtests and actual trading. You can post the experts and journal logs for the day or days the 5 trades were opened and I will see if I can find out why.

Version v3f will close trades at anytime. Only v4f waits for new bar.
