my quick bio: trader for 8 years and strategy programmer mostly for TradeStation easy language, the most i have made in a day is $14k and the most i have lost in a day is $7k (if any one cares).

i don't know if Doug Price is his real name (does that really matter?) and i also don't know if you can fool myfxbook's verifying system( that's a question you can look up the answer to on this website). But what i do know is that i have been the Rev trader pro since early nov 2014 (about 3 1/2 months) and i have been comparing my actual trades with the ones shown on myfxbook's and they are almost identical. when there is a difference my account usually does slightly better (im not sure why but i think its because we are using rev trader 2.5 update now).

 i am not doing the crazy disproportionately large lot sizes, compared to my account size, that the ea was doing in the first months of Doug's trading. (Mine is set to risk a max of 5% of my account per trade but you can set it to what you like) And i have done extremely well. my account went up 15% last month alone. I too have spent years writing code for myself and for my friend and i wish i would have wrote something like the Rev trader.

You guys have obviously not used rev trader or you would't be yaking negative things about it. You can try it for a month and if you are not happy then you can get your money back. Nothing lost. Use it on a demo account and set it just like you would your live account and compare it to the myfxbooks result and see if you think its for real.

Or if you want to go the cheapo depot route: check the myfxbooks website every 15 minutes or so and if you see the 'open trades' (you will notice that doug allows his open trades to be seen, unlike other ea's being verified on this website) and as soon as you see that a trade was entered- enter that same trade on a demo account and close it when you see that its closed on the myfxbooks. then you will not be able to deny that the data is real because you verified it yourself on the fly.

i don't know if this vortex ea will work for me but i am going to try it and i will let this forum know. I do however trust the myfxbooks data because i have compared it myself to my live data but i suspect some may think im just yaking too. what ever its all good.

and about Doug: i have been pleasantly surprised that he has answered my question directly through skype in a live chat back in November. and he has sent out email to alert us to the big news break from last week and the swissy decision and recommended to turn of the bot until the market settled. i though that was helpful information

No it's not the same system, but there's only so many different methods to trade off of , that there will be overlaps in any system.
