United States Industrial Production MoM
The output of enterprises that are integrated into the industrial sector of the economy is measured in the United States by industrial production. Accounting for 78% of overall production the manufacturing is the most important industry. Chemicals (12% of total output), food, drink, and tobacco (11%), machinery (6%), fabricated metal goods (6%), computer and electronic products (6%), and motor vehicles and parts (6%) are the most important areas within Manufacturing. A total of 11% of production is accounted for mining and quarrying, with the remaining 11% going to production and utilities.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the USD while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the USD.

The Commerce Department released a report on Tuesday showing business inventories in the U.S. increased in line with expectations in the month of July. The report said business inventories rose by 0.2 percent in July, matching the increase seen June as well as economist estimates.

Industrial production in the U.S. unexpectedly edged slightly higher in the month of August, according to a report released by the Federal Reserve on Tuesday. The Fed said industrial production crept up by 0.1 percent in August after falling by a downwardly revised 0.4 percent in July. Economists had expected industrial production to slip by 0.1 percent.
