Swing trading: Some times hours, sometimes days.
Short term trades:
1 - News Releases of 3 ~ 15 minutes.
2 - LARGE sudden market movements and surges. Anywhere from a couple of minutes to a couple of hours.
Gold and Silver: Silver just dropped ~350 Pips in only 2 hours !! Gold dropped 4000 POINTS in the same 2 hour period !!! WOW !!!!!
VERY LONG term: Take a look at the USDCHF Now there is a consistent trend to ride very profitably for YEARS if one has deep enough pockets to cover the wide ranging prices.
