I absolutely agree that greed is a big poison. It prevents so many traders to trade profitably. I know two big problems in trading. The first is fear and the second is greed. If you manage to cope with two common vices, you can become a successful trader.

I think that the right measurement to see whether the trading is good or not so good is consistency. I mean that everyone can have a streak of good luck from time to time and it is normal. THat is why it becomes hard to tell whether this or that trader is a success or he was just lucky. However, when we look at the stats in the perspective of several years and we can notice that there is some sort of consistency there, we can say that this person knows what he does and his profits can be small, but they are real which is a very difficult thing to achieve in trading.
Expert Advisor...good for beginners?

I believe that novices shouldn't use expert advisors because of two main reasons. There is a big chance to face scammers, because novices don't have proper experience. The secon reason is that they must gain experience by their own, because it's much profitable for them. No doubts, that expert advisors can help novices to start off trading, nevertheless the main objective of beginners should be independent learning. Anyway, it's up to you, whether you will use expert advisors or not. If I were you I wouldn't use them, because I'm curious enough to explore new activity b...

Skills and knowledge are important, but why don't acquire them during analysing some trading strategies. I mean that, perhaps, it is a good way to learn forex by trying to implement and understand different trading strategies. Some of them don't work and some of them work pretty well. And if you analyse the reasons for their failures or success, you can learn much. Surely, just mocking those strategies will never give you any knowledge or understanding and if there is some unordinary financial situation, you'll be at a loss and lose your money.

It can be useful but it also can be the source of absolute fail. It depends on your skill. Just like a hammer: you can build something with it or you can break your arm. Depends on you.

These are really good tips for the newcomers. I would also add the tip about trading plan and risk management. I believe that these concepts should be learnt in very beginning in order for a newbie to understand that successful trading presupposes much of analysis and planning and before opening a deal, you should have some more or less realistic expectations of it.
