EUR/USD

The EUR/USD is consolidating after the big drop last week. The question is how long will this consolidation last. Personally, I do think it's high time for correction but at the moment there is no signal that correction is about to begin.

The EUR/USD dropped over 100 pips today and reached 1.1460. It looks like nothing can stop or slow the pair down any more, but the more it falls, the more suspicious I feel. It cannot fall forever and correction should start sooner or later.

I thought that range would last longer but EUR/USD dropped to 1.1567, forming a new historic low - the pair hasn't dropped this much since 2003. While at this point I have little doubt that the pair will likely reach parity, I do have to wonder, however, how much lower can it drop before a more long-term correction begins?

EUR/USD did make a new low today after breaking below the support at 1.1750, but bounced back immediately afterwards. It looks like range continues and we will have to wait a bit more before the bearish trend continues on its way down.

EUR/USD consolidation continued today too. The pair tested the support at 1.1750 but couldn't break below it and bounced back. I wonder how long the consolidation is going to last this time.

After the double bottom it formed last week and the move to the upside EUR/USD dropped again but couldn't even reach the support at 1.1750 before it formed another hammer in the 4 hour filter chart. It looks like the pair is consolidating again before it continues on its way down to 1.1700.

EUR/USD couldn't break below the support at 1.1750, formed a hammer candlestick and a double bottom, both visible in the four hour filter chart, and then started climbing. It appears that some correction is in order and the pair will keep climbing until it reaches targed 1.1920, where there is strong resistance.

EUR/USD broke below 1.1800 and fell even lower, reaching 1.1750, but finally formed a hammer candlestick in the four hour filter chart. Considering how oversold the pair is that hammer is likely a signal for a consolidation. That said, I think the pair will eventually reach 1.1700 sooner or later.

The EUR/USD bearish trend is as strong as ever - the pair broke below 1.1850 and will soon reach 1.1800. The way things are going it might soon reach 1.1700.

I suspected that EUR/USD might drop to 1.1900, but I did not think it would break below that level so quickly. I think it might actually continue on its way down and reach 1.1800, but then again it is also time for correction.

EUR/USD reached 1.2000, but I think it will drop even lower and reach 1.1950 or even 1.1900 before correction begins.

Happy New Year everyone! The market finally started moving again and the EUR/USD bearish trend continued. The pair will soon reach 1.2000 and will likely continue falling until it reaches target 1.1950, perhaps even 1.1900.

Surpsingly the EUR/USD bearish trend continues despite the holidays. It will likely reach 1.2100 pretty soon and then head for 1.2000.

It looks like EUR/USD is completely asleep. It's hardly surprising, considering the date. I think I will leave trading for next year.

The market is exceedingly calm on the day before Christmas and it will likely stay that way until the winter holidays pass. Speaking of which, happy winter holidays, everyone!

Even though the winter holidays are almost here the EUR/USD pair continues its descent. The pair broke below 1.2200 and is headed for target 1.2100, probably even 1.2000 after that.

People must have started celebrating the winter holidays already because the market is asleep.

Despite all my doubts the EUR/USD pair broke below the support level at 1.2250 before the holidays and is now headed for target 1.2200. Time will tell whether the next target is 1.2000.
