There is something odd going on with the Russian branch of Alpari too. Recently they announced that they are setting to “close only” trading on the following instruments: XAGAUD, XAGCHF, XAGEUR, XAGGBP, XAUAUD, XAUCHF, XAUEUR, XAUGBP, XPDUSD, XPTUSD, EURTRY, GBPTRY, TRYJPY and USDTRY. (https://www.forexbrokerz.com/news/Alpari-halts-trading-in-precious-metals-TRY-pairs) According to the announcement, the measure is temporary and affects ecn.mt4, pro.ecn.mt4 and ecn.mt5 accounts.Why stop Metal trading?

The pair is so choppy it's difficult to trade at all, unless one is scalping. I had a short position earlier today and closed it at a loss.

You're right about all of them wanting it sorted as soon as possible. I'm just sceptical that they'd actually be able to achieve it.

It will take years for the negotations to be completed. And during that time all GBP pairs will be very volatile, I think.

Those are my thoughts exactly too. I don't know how am I going to trade the GBP, I might even avoid it altogether. It depends.

I agree. If there's one thing that can be said about Forex trading - and analysis, for that matter - is that it always keeps you on your toes. If it doesn't then it's probably harder to trade.

Are you referring to EUR/USD or something else? Because EUR/USD is still consolidating around 1.1100 - 1.1200.
