Standard deviation is an indicator that is used by traders to measure the size of recent price moves of an asset, to predict how volatile the price may be in future.
It can help you decide whether the volatility of the price is likely to increase or decrease. The greater the standard deviation, the more widely spread the values in the data set are. The lower the standard deviation, the more narrowly spread the values are.
