So it happened to me... it just shows the MT login screen when you run MT again after restart, put in your trading account password again and off you go...
No big deal.

Really? I am not sure because till now I am with Win7! In addition, I update my mt4 trading platform automatically just when I get notice from mt4! In this case, I don’t need to set my login and password anymore! Although, sometimes it’s really embarrassing to update mt4 trading platform when I have running trade positions in my account!

At least mt4 are quick to update when windows 10 does something to screw everything up

The MetaTrader 4 platform update was released on May 12, 2017. We strongly recommend installing the new version.By doing so, you will avoid problems associated with not being able to run MQL4 programs after upgrading your operating system to Windows 10 Creators Update (version 1703).
Microsoft released the major update of their operating system on April 11, and some users have already faced problems with running MQL4 programs in their terminals. This issue has been fixed in the new MetaTrader 4 platform build 1080. Now, Expert Advisors and indicators will run on charts correctly, while recompilation using the updated MetaEditor is not required.
Support for older versions of terminals to end on October 1, 2017
Support for MetaTrader 4 client terminal versions below 1065 will be discontinued on the 1st of October 2017.
The unsupported terminal will not be able to connect to new server versions.
