I tried MDP and didn't do so well... however it was in December - possibly the worse month to try it... theres just so many different people with so many varied results and so many different ways to set it up.... I think the fact that the MDP profile is demo only goes to show that it cant be so good... If I was selling an EA the least id have is 12 months REAL money results to back my claims up...Having said that I DO know a trader who has a real fund of over 100k and he quadroopled it in 4 months with MDP... no idea on settings though....Im currently testing FAP Turbo v52 - seems to be wo...

Hi there - Ok pretty much everything is public.The reason open trades are private is because lets say some people start following the accounts progress and start watching the activity and copying trades, IF their accounts get blown I'll be the one that gets hassle for it. Thanks for the advise there - that's a really good idea.Well the client is a personal friend but we still signed agreements etc etc. Ok this is something I'll definitely look at. Thanks very much for the advise. Maybe I could open my own account from scratch with my next $500, then have my friend contact my broker to link the account im currently trading as an investment, so in theory id be the "Fund manager" for this BUT I can trade both accounts from 1 platform meaning ill be building up results on my own account which ill grow every month but at the same time ill be growin...

2 reasons really, although it is a small account, (Its a $500 micro right now), a) I've invested into this myself also and now own a large portion of the equity, in fact most of it. b) more importantly rather than take the easier route and just start a fresh account, I decided that if after a year I've managed to bring this to profit overall (it was at 79% drawdown when I started with this strategy) then this will be VERY good for the portfolio. So I guess a large reason I'm trading this account is for the personal achievement factor, and then Id hope that when this has happened Id...

It looks good Timmy but you need to verify the account for it to be credible (unverified accounts could easily have been manipulated)... if unsure of how to do this, let me know and ill link you to a vid i made explaining how to do it.Good Luck,Ben

I prefer manual trading but more so because I find it stressful using an EA - even though the coding looks great and a lot do make profit I just find it hard to trust a program with my money... Everybody is different... it does seem though that most EAs make some profits for a while and then crash and burn.... hmmmIm 50/50 on this...

When you have made mistakes, maybe lost some $$ but have learned from each one and never repeated. Also when you can instantly take a trade that is within your strategy without hesitation or the worry of will this win or will it loose. Also if that trade looses and the next one after you can carry on consistently without becoming an emotional wreck... and of course make consistent profits.. while taking full responsability for any transactions, that is not blaming or resenting the market for any wins or losses... the market is indifferent about us so we should be indifferent about the market.T...

Hey there - good luck on your journy. I hope it works out for you. First thing id reccomend is reading the book Trading in the Zone by Mark Douglas.. Its fundamental and sill continues to help me when it comes to trading... Also as others said babypips.com is the best learning resource out there in my opinion... Open a demo account too so while you go through babypips you can actually put a working picture to what is being taught, then get used to the charts. Ps I agree that Demos are worthless in real time... to an extent - they mean sweet FA in terms of credibility but are useful when developing strategies. Youll notice that I dont bother with Demo accounts on here, and this is why - it does nothing for credability.
