Great New Broker - Just opened my live account and trading is going very well so far.

Hi all,

This broker is not a good as they are advertised on many forums. They will try to pass bad slippage on you if you are in a losing trade to make your loss wider. But if you are in a winning trade, they do not pass good slippage to you

Please be careful with this broker - I recommend you Dukascopy or MBTrading

I have been trading with Pepperstone for quite some time now, both demo and live.
First i was worried because the demo platform seems to freeze a lot, at least it does here.
But the live platform has got no problems, no freezing at all, very fast execution, good customer service, ...
Very happy with this broker, soon am going to make larger deposit and starting a PAMM.

I've been trading live with them for a few weeks but so far so good. Execution is fast, the spreads are good and the customer service is excellent. The only problem I had with them was with funding my account, it took over a week! other than that I encourage traders to go for them.

Opened an account edge razor, and during the deposit I stubled upon the 'Bank of Australia' fee...its 3% on the non AUD currencies and 1.8% on aussie. Now i was going to deposit 2000 EUR, actually i wasn't planning to begin trading relieved of 60 euro just from the start -.-

Well, not much experience with other brokers but apart from the occasional freezing (which might be as a result of my internet service provider, i find the great) i find

Been with Pepperstone for over a month. Not a great length of time to evaluate. But so far so Good, I run 6/7 EA of the same account. only problem i have encountered is that it does disconnect like Steve mentioned. Customer services is ok. i have seen better at fxopen but it is bearable. Spreads are not as good as some brokers like fxopen and icmarkets via an ECN account. But its working good till now. So dont fix something which isnt broken. Also they have direct raw data feed giving virtually 100% tick data. And there servers are located in the equinox data cente NYC. So there back end latency is brilliant. coupled with CNS VPS having a direct link to there servers makes this service great. so the few pips you lose in spread you more than make up in slippage with other brokers. the old saying 'you cant have your cake and eat it.' Hope this helps :-)

The platform is supposed to open Sunday night at 10PM GMT but is often late to get started.

This Sunday night it was 10:45 P.M before they put the 50p in the meter so was getting the 'off quote' message when trying to open positions.

hi, what is this MDP you are talking about ? and what was the reason you got refund from Pepperstone ?

I've been using Pepperstone since I gave Think Forex the boot last month. I've noticed that their platform disconnects a few times each day, generally for about 3-4 minutes. They say one of them is for End of Day - so that's fair enough, but the others?

Anyone else seeing problems with them?

Good Borker!😄
Since Oct. 2011, I'm trading on Pepperstone. The spreads are very low, orders are executed very fast, so scalping EAs are doing well. But sometimes the connection to their server bocomes disconnected.😕

I chose Pepperstone because of their Aussie regulation and they are close to Singapore. I haven't had any tech issues because I don't use lousy EA's like MDP which rely on spikes for execution, which IMHO is recipe for failure. I had a friend program an EA for me and so far the EA is making money with Pepperstone Razor account. Can't speak for the standard account. 😄😄

Their performance is getting worse. When news with high volatility expectancy is coming, the execution time is getting worse, and sometimes the platform got froze out. Hope they could do something on their infrastructure.

I'm with Pepperstone for couple of months now. So far everything is good, their support and back office support also friendly. At first I'm using standard account, but then I've changed it to razor account.

If you want better connection between your MT4 terminal and their MT4 server, then choose VPS that located in US as far as I know they've changed their server location to US. I did this and my EA working smoothly on communicating for enter and exit trades with pepperstone server.

😄

And the additional feature that I like and hope it'll get more better in the future is their blackberry app. The app is nice, it has chart, your favorite pairs, and have the basic trading features. They only thing on this app that little disappoint me is when you are using BIS (blackberry internet service) to get connected to their server, you will unable to do that as you'll get an error message. But will get connected perfectly when you are within WiFi range.

Thank-you for the replies and explanation.

I am deciding between Pepperstone Razor and Hotforex to go live with and using Aslan as the Intoroducing Broker seems to offer the best returns with Pepperstone.

However I got a PM from someone that was doing well on Pepperstone demo but now their EA is not closing trades as it should and also I just read this thread this morning where there appears to be debate as to whether they are a bucket shop or not.

https://www.myfxbook.com/community/trading-systems/pepperstone-razor/146948,5

I just want to find an honest broker who is happy to earn off the spread and nothing else.

Hi sharpforex I am in England but wishing I was in Melbourne :) the lifestyle looks great there.
