EBC’s Global Mission: Supporting Education, Sustainability, and Indigenous Empowerment

EBC has teamed up with the Shakti Regeneration Institute, showcasing how financial leadership can create meaningful social and environmental impact.

At EBC Financial Group (EBC), we believe that success goes beyond financial figures. It’s about the lives we touch, the communities we empower, and the lasting futures we help build. This philosophy is central to our partnership with the Shakti Regeneration Institute (SRI), a collaboration focused on supporting marginalised communities, preserving Indigenous knowledge, and advancing sustainability.

Changing Lives Through Education in India

For over 25 years, the Ramakrishna Vedanta Vidyapith school in West Bengal has been a beacon of hope for children and women from disadvantaged backgrounds. The school provides education that transforms lives, opening doors to better opportunities and brighter futures for families.

Through our partnership with SRI, we are directly supporting 50 students by providing educational materials, uniforms, and vocational training in sewing.

Behind-the-scenes of an Interview with David Barrett and Indrani Pal-Chaudhuri

David Barrett, CEO of EBC Financial Group (UK) Ltd, shared, "At EBC, we recognise that the true power of education creates the foundation for transforming societies and creating pathways to lasting change. Our partnership with Shakti Regeneration Institute is more than a sponsorship—it reflects our dedication to uplifting the next generation, as we support the Ramakrishna Vedanta Vidyapith school in equipping marginalised children with the tools they need to thrive."

Amplifying Indigenous Voices Through Film

EBC is proud to support #TheRegenerationGeneration, a documentary directed by Indrani Pal-Chaudhuri, which addresses sustainability, ecosystem preservation, and Indigenous heritage. By supporting this project, we ensure that these critical perspectives, often overlooked in financial and corporate discussions, are included in the global conversation.

Indrani Pal-Chaudhuri is an award-winning filmmaker, activist, and artist. She gained international recognition as a photographer and director, collaborating with icons such as David Bowie, Beyoncé, and Deepak Chopra. Her work has been celebrated at the United Nations and UNESCO, where she has helped elevate Indigenous and marginalised voices globally.

#TheRegenerationGeneration highlights the urgent need for regenerative finance and education, featuring contributions from Nobel Prize winners, innovators, business leaders, educators, and Indigenous leaders. The film shines a light on the challenges faced by Indigenous communities, particularly in the Amazon, where environmental degradation threatens both their cultural heritage and the planet’s biodiversity.

Ajay Pal-Chaudhuri, Chairman and Founder of Shakti Regeneration Institute, shared, "We are thrilled to announce our partnership with EBC Financial Group, a collaboration that embodies the convergence of corporate responsibility and global impact. Together, we embark on a transformative journey, combining our strengths in education and ecological advocacy to empower communities worldwide. With EBC's support, we are not only empowering marginalised children through education but also raising global awareness about the critical challenges facing Indigenous communities and the plight of vulnerable ecosystems."

Indrani’s work goes beyond filmmaking; her advocacy for Indigenous rights and environmental sustainability is influencing policy discussions worldwide. Our support for this initiative aligns with our belief that knowledge should drive real-world solutions.

Fostering Global Conversations on Sustainability with Oxford University's Department of Economics

At EBC, our commitment to education extends beyond the classroom. Through our partnership with the University of Oxford, we have sponsored episodes of What Economists Really Do, which cover vital topics like Macroeconomics and Climate. These discussions bridge the gap between academic research and real-world applications, empowering individuals to make informed decisions for a sustainable future.

"Through our involvement in the #TheRegenerationGeneration 2025 documentary, we are amplifying the voices of Indigenous communities and supporting the preservation of their cultural and environmental heritage," explains Barrett. "Similarly, our collaboration with the University of Oxford's Department of Economics on their WERD program underscores our dedication to enhancing global understanding of critical economic and societal issues. By investing in education at every level, we aim to create opportunities, promote equity, and address the challenges of our time. These efforts align seamlessly with our core values of integrity, responsibility, and sustainability."

Shaping a Better Tomorrow

From supporting education in West Bengal to bringing Indigenous sustainability strategies into the financial spotlight, EBC Financial Group is committed to using finance as a tool for meaningful change.
