@FxMasterGuru et al.
Just look at your REAL account's screenshot...!! -83% DD on a 100(!) USD account...

again:
every dd calculation offered by myfxbook or the integrated mt4 are always wrong!

myfxbooks calcs p/l from closed orders! read the myfxbook blog, so if you use the ftp publisher with 1440 setting, you cant get the real dd, because there no realtime p/l records! you publish your records once a day...
this is the reason why myfxbook cant calc dd and profit factor correct, if you have 100% winner OR opened order(s) which are never closed!

the only way to get the real drawdown you must record the p/l of the open order(s)per pair to an csv file with following fields!
datetime, newhighopenprofitloss, AccountBalance(), AccountEquity(), AccountMargin(), AccountFreeMargin(), (AccountEquity()/AccountMargin()*100) at each new tick! only the new high must be filed.
all other calculations are hypothetical and display not the real p/l of the current open orders!

so a grid based system can be lower dd in real and a old school trading style with ftp publisher 1440 may have an higher dd as myfxbook calcs!

I agree that DRAWDOWNS can be HIDDEN on MyFxBook.

In other words: DRAWDOWNS can be reported as FALSE LOW, but not as FALSE HIGH.

It means that if we see a HIGH DD value, it might be only worse, but definitely not better.

@eNyComics

1. This thread was started almost 3 years ago .

2. Since then it has reached 56 pages.

3. On those 56 pages there was only ONE strategy which had fulfiiled the stated criteria. Since that strategy was not run at a mainstream and reputed broker, its authenticity is questionable. But lets assume that it was not handcrafted by the broker (I have seen many fabricated 'real' and 'verified' MyFxBook accounts over the past years).

4. In other words: all the other 55 pages are full of b***t.

5. Good luck to you, too!

P.S. What about starting your OWN thread with the title: 'I have been trading for TWO DAYS and I am SUCCESSFUL.'

Just curious, which ONE strategy fulfilled that criteria? Can you share the link pls?

yep, therefore all comments, statements, opinion,... are ALWAYS FALSE too!
so why the people talk always about dd? 😲

Al thought the DD% can be hidden by simply not updating the account when you are in red, the reality is if a manager has his account verified, and opened, then you can easily tell what his drawdown % was :) Let's see who can figure it out.

Probably we talk about is because if someone runs a profitable strategy on a REAL account for at least 2 years, it is unlikely that he make a serious effort to hide his DD. Most likely he has better things to do than that.

I am curious how HolyGrailPTY could figure out just from trade history what was the real DD...

 I'll tell you, but you have to answer one question first..... How is drawdown % calculated. Once you give me that answer, then I will tell you how to tell if the drawdown listed on a person's account is accurate or not!

I posted once here and got automatically subscribed i been reading all ya guys arguments haha. It makes me wonder, are the people who post here traders themselves, successful traders or people are just spending time here hoping that someone will show just that one profitable account? I think this is time wasting at it best. Don't you people have better things to do?

 The reality is the creator of this thread use to manage accounts, but then he blew them all, and now he is looking for a good system I guess. The sad reality is people have this expectation of long term profit, when all you need to do is have a few good months, and withdraw all your profits. At least that way you will be able to protect it and do other things with it.

for complete dd history and statement you need the following values:
datetime, newhighopenprofitloss, AccountBalance(), AccountEquity(), AccountMargin(), AccountFreeMargin(), (AccountEquity()/AccountMargin()*100)
recorded by each tick! only the new high must be saved to csv file for future history and statement

for dd % you need only:
(AccountEquity()/AccountMargin()*100) and maybe datetime if you want to know when your orders p/l increase

@HolyGrailPTY

Do you talk about me...? Blowing up accounts...? I have never managed accounts for clients and I have never blown up any account (not even mine).

I have Vouched for you, but I will take it back for this false accusation, unless you apologize and make an amendment.

Two possible conclusions from this thread:

1. There are no profitable traders on myFxbook. Or at least not ones who bother with forums.

2. Profitable trading does not follow the rules set out by this thread i.e. at least 5% profit monthly - it may involve lots of small losses and occasional big wins (for example)

Sometimes postings are published with some delay. I don't think that anybody would intentionally manipulate with the posts...

I have concluded a long time ago that #1 you mentioned is the answer: 'There are no profitable traders on myFxbook. Or at least not ones who bother with forums.'

Also, I have to assume that there are more Lottery Millionaires in the world than Forex Millionaires...

Which fact - if correct - clearly shows the statistical chances of becoming rich or even wealthy by trading Forex...

I think we can have a few goods months and withdraw all profits that is good short term strategy but in the long term one needs a safe profitable system. I myself spend my spare time trying to find an edge. My efforts have been fruitful my next step now is to save up $10 000 to fund my own account and trade it responsible 0.01 lot per $2000 in account. I never looked on the internet for profitable system because there isn't any. If you had a profitable system yourself would you share it? First of all when you broke like me no one will give you money to trade, can anyone? When you finally make it you have enough for yourself plus the sky is the limit there are trillions exchanging hands in Forex market and in retrospect you do not want anyone's money.

Since this thread is about profitable trading I thought maybe I can ask you and others to evaluate the profitability of FXMARKETLEADERS if you have not done so in the past and share your thoughts. They are based in Israel and run a nice website, commentate on the market and publish articles. They also offer free trading signals i checked myself. You can see the signals live on their page free and claim to be profitable. Problem is they don't offer copy trading. Here is the link
