Analysis of MT4 IG account

Hello All,
I have tried in vain to find an answer to this problem.
When partially closing any trade on MT4, the result is shown in my stats as a deposit (ie. not part of its original trade). This completely skews all my results and makes any form of analysis virtually impossible. Consequently it means pretty much all the stats bar balance are meaningless.
I found one post from a few years ago , which said the issue is my broker but provides no further details.
IG support as usual is awful, as they are refusing to accept any telephone enquiries, due to the oil situation (apparently that negates the need for any other form of support to customers).
I wonder if there is anybody here who uses IG as their broker who perhaps has a way round this or perhaps I am missing something blindingly obvious.
