I don't know, I wouldn't be able to quit working for trading, especially since i trade at H1 time-frame..I prefer thinking of forex as my back-up or a possibility to make a couple of extra euros. That what let me keep being risky.
Being risky is what make you feel unconfortable for a living.

You only feel uncomfortable because you are unsure how this Market works. Cut back on the risk, so you can sleep at night and then try and create new ideas for trading the market. Here is a little secret: Order or down load "The Quarter Theory" it is a short book, and is easy reading, but for me it is not a rule, but a tool for any rule. This book will turn your trading experience around and it works on any currency pair the market has! So find it and read it!!!

As what the subject is, i think i'm on that path right now, most of my time was spent on my day job, but my fx trading gives me much more monthly income than my day job (using my own ea), so right now my day job is more like for employment formality.

superscalper, that is true, so be careful taking out funds now and wait for the account to grow so that you can take a small portion out and leave a majority in to keep growing. My brother once told me, that if you take out more than you need it will just cut your profits of large growth down the road. So to be truthful I went my first few years only taking out at Christmas, kind of like a bonus, until my funds reached a point that I would not hinder my growth of the account!

Well, it is probably depends a lot of a person. I don't think that trading will ever replace the day job for me; i actually love what I’m doing. However trading is something that much more different from what I’m doing. So it is like a chance to make my brain working in the opposite direction. I love to analyze market; I’m that kind of geek who use at least 3 indicators on each chart. So it is more like hobby for me.

I see you are from Canada, I live in the U.S., but have a trading group partnership in Canada. Yes, it is important to do something other than just trade, and my account is now over 6 figures and I still work a full-time job! I have my trading platform on my phone, so I can really watch it where ever I have a signal.

Scott, nothing personal, but I don't believe You! So what is Your aim to be in trading? I thought that every trader dreams about showing to full time job a "finger" when account will become six digit )))
The lack of charisma can be fatal.

I tell people, Dr's orders, but really, I used to just sit at home all day and trade. Well, after 7-8 months, my family noticed a change in me and sent me to my doctor, who told me I was fighting depression. By the way, this was nine years ago, well before trading I managed retail stores, so I used to be very busy all the time, then I went to sitting all the time trading, and doing nothing. Was not good for me, so I found a job, that does not require much, and I am not depressed, though my family says I get moody at times!

I guess it strongly depends on the definition of "trading" . On the other hand I never managed to get these type of massive returns so I had to and hopefully will have to trade full time. that might be an explanation after all :-)
