I just closed my short positions at 87310, nice trade from Friday ,had a feeling it might weaken so I kept buying.

Wednesday is the Dutch election, we wont know the results till Thursday, plus the FOMC and the freeze on borrowings.
We had some buyers up at 87450 but not enough to sustain ,at the moment its still in decline, I have no trades on it not till we get a reasonable bottom, seeing some posts that it might bottom at 86, anything is possible at the moment.

Just took a look at the daily chart ,some support at 86500 ,plus it would match up with the BB midpoint, not to say it would actually hold.

With all the news coming out this week I too have closed all my positions for now and I'm waiting. Better to be safe than sorry.

MP May wont be attending the European meeting on the 25th ,so it looks like a possible exit before that date.

Looking at Gold ,it has popped under 1200 ,its looking like it wants to go higher, maybe at Asia open.

With the FOMC news coming out today nothing is certain, if you ask me.

I used the EUR/GBP move to the downside on Friday. I think it will keep falling next week too.

The shorts in the GBP increased by 26K in the current week to short 107K. That is a record short level for the GBP.
Last week shorts were increased by 15K, always be careful though when you see these figures as they are lagging and possible turn around if its maxed out. EUR short 41K vs 59K short last week. Shorts trimmed by 18K.

With this 9 days away we could see range bound activity as large players will set their sights on this main event, expect some testing of major levels the day before exit.

The EUR / GBP has lost 35 pips immediately following the release of UK inflation data, which has surpassed expectations, reaching maximum levels since 2013. The pair has fallen to a 2-week low of 0.8654.

True. The closer we get to that, the tighter the range becomes. I am not trading this pair right now, it's too risky.
