1. I have an Interactive Brokers Account. I have begun working with third party API's to enable my Metatrader 4 software to communicate properly with Interactive Brokers. That being said, I have been unable to configure the software properly to communicate with my LIVE Trading Account.
2. I have several EA's - Robo's. I want different robos to be operating on one MEtatrader4 Session. Currently, I have several different desktops running individual sessions of Metatrader4 and in each individual desktop I use 1 EA. I want to be able to have several EA's on one Desktop - Metatrader 4 application being opened.
3. Some of my EA's are not functioning properly for various reasons. I need several of my EA's configured properly and am not sure what the best route of doing this is?

I can help with some of that. Just install MT4 into a new folder, as long as the folder have different names it will be a separate instance. Open it from there, that way you can have several MT4's running on one machine.
I draw the line at 8 or so, but if you have bigger machine you can run more. MT4 does have memory leaks so be sure to keep tabs on how your machine is performing. If CPU usage gets to 100% it starts missing trades. To get around this I have automated reboots.
Also you can copy the files into the MT4 directories like the profiles for example, then you don't have to keep setting up each new version.

never thought of that. thanks elkart. very useful info. 😄

If you have automated reboots you need to put the short cuts for the instances you want to run into the startup folder of your machine, then it will bring the MT4's back online if there is re-boot.
