350 pips is from the first order. There could be up to 11 (there could be a few more with the RSI_Entry enabled) orders raised at dynamic steps after the first order. The default StopLoss is set to close 10% of the balance when a 40% drawdown is reached. Order entries are filtered by current news events so there is no trading during periods of potential high volatility so this helps reduce the periods of large drawdown.

Hi Brenden,
Thank you for sharing your v2.0 EA. I've just put it to a GU 15min chart. I've got an IBFX-AU mini account (pip value=1) and noticed the EA calculate wrong the TP, and the auto lotsize calculation is bad too. Did you solved this issue in the enhanced version?
Best regards,
Tamas

Is it a bug that your current positions opened are 02 02 02 06 13 02 02 02?
why did the lots get smaller after the martins?
That is normal after the LotMultiplier set is complete.
This helps reduce the drawdown percent if the market continues against you.

The enhanced version does not have this issue.

last trade was manual? the trade use a very high lot
The last trade lot size is part of the rule set:
After the loss the LotMultiplier boost has kicked in because 10 out of 11 orders (GridPendingOrderLimit) were open. The rounded average on my first 8 orders after the loss is 0.04 lots multiplied by 2.25 (lotmultiplierboost) multiplied by 3 (3rd order in the LotMultiplier set) = 0.27.

What your seeting because for my side it close some position today?
Did you modify some setting ?

My account has already had positions closed so the average lot size increased for the first 8 orders in the grid to 0.04 lots (from 0.02 lots). The Max1kDDPercent is ignored once LotMultiplyAfterXOrders is triggered and some orders have been closed in the grid. The new LossStopOut is calculated from the average lot size (0.04 x $400 = approx $1600). In the next version I've introduced another parameter (MaxLotMultiplierDDPercent) that CAPS this figure to a % of your account balance (eg. 60%) so you don't DD too much into your account before more trades are closed.

You said in the last release infos that the option Max1kDDPercent is about a percentage from 1000$, and when it's reached, GMU have to close the order.
Then, you said "For example, if Max1kDDPercent=40, the LossStopOut is equal to 400$ (40% of 1000$).. You didn't say it's also calculated from the average lot size..
I mean GMU must have a option who allow the close of all orders when a simple amount is reached. Here Max1kDDPercent=40 was perfect for me because I believed that once the lost of 400$ reached, all the orders was closed, but apparently it's not the case..

good luck with the account but i think that will ends as all the grid accounts ends...with a blow account
If it does it will be back to the drawing board again.
We learn from our mistakes 😭
I've have made some minor adjustments to the latest version that should not put the account in this situation again (take losses sooner to avoid this level of DD).
I'm not going to give up on the strategy just yet 😉

Is this what you call the crash? Ouch! Why didn't it bail out at 30-40% DD?
It was set to close a % of the account at 40% DD but once a loss occurs there was no cap on the DD for the remainder of the grid so the next LossStop amount could be greater than the euity in your account. This is obviously not OK so I've implemented a cap on the equity DD after a loss in the new version...

An idea GMU could profit from (if it's not already implemented and I've overlooked it): Allow the profit target to be stated in pips, relative to the weighted average of the entry prices of the current positions, with the weights being the position sizes. This would avoid that, after periods of huge DD, we get out of the basket with only a small profit. Instead, the larger the DD (and thus the sum of our positions), the bigger the profit target (which will hopefully become the realized profit) in absolute terms.

I have a question about the strategy. Have you been monitoring the floating drawdown when it eventually wins vs loses? Is there a sweet spot point of no return at which it is wise just to take the losses and wait/restart the grid, like an ideal max DD limit?
