I was really mad with VTP and CTP. I started to trade by July, after July all the way losing money. Before Jul, all the way winning money. I believe the system was changed somehow. Also, the system was changed to signal. It is hard to believe it the same system now.

The market can be understood as a Wiener process that means the change from one 'bar' to the next is normally distributed. This robot works with a small take profit / high stop loss strategy. This works very well as long as the market is in a cycle that is uptrending (see for example Hurst cycle theory or other theory about market cycles). An uptrending market has longer periods of increase than of decrease so a robot based on this strategy will work by taking more small profits than big losses. There are a few cycles to consider, but it seems now that a major cycle has turned and we are in a period of downtrend, so the periods of increase are smaller compared to the periods of decrease. So the robot will make more losses than wins.
I'm watching this robot for a while now and I basically predicted this will happen, since it is very easy to build a robot based on this strategy, optimize and backtest it. It is just 'curve fitting'. And in deed the robot will perform very well in a period of uptrend, but will loose in a period of downtrend. Normally one can see this when backtesting over more than 5 years.

So what most of the robot sellers do now is to create a new robot optimized to the cycle, forget the old and try to sell the new one..and everybody believes it. They mostly do not care if you make money or not, as long as they keep making money through selling this product.

So if you want robots based on this strategy, message me, I will give them to you to you for free. But better read up on elliotwaves, hurst cycles, gann if you want to understand the market.

Doug, VTP, CTP or whoever is behind the eas, please reimburse the investors from the last 8 months.
the vtp and the ctp have noty come to the plate for the cost.

Basically this EA has been on a losing streak since July 2015 - now down 25% equity in 12 months . Current equity is now down to what it was in March 2015! I am thinking of turning off this EA, giving up the ship. Very disappointing....

To buy the 'Vortex Trader Pro' has been my most worst decision and experience with Forex EA`s till now. Bought it 06.22.2015
for 799 $! Than only Power Losses - till I stopped this EA on my account with above 2000 $ Loss . So overall I lost 3000 $. Winner ist Doug with 799 $ for nothing in substantial less than a year. A very good business model. Now the EA is closed from the company - I think much to late! A respectable Company would offer an alternative EA and NO FEES ATTACHED or give the Purchase Money back.

Profit - 11.21%... negative

PIPS = - 266.00 TOTAL PIPS for 11 months! negative

This strategy was obviously very highly curve fit and will only work well on past data

Very easy to reach 1000+% by curve fitting a strategy and then setting risk to 20% as Doug did in beginning. Obviously nobody risking real money would ever risk 20% a trade. This system and all his others are scams

Not even remotely true, but thanks for trying. The system was never optimized when this account started. And then hit a snag for the period that the markets were less volatile. Now things are starting to change and as you can see the past 5 months have been winning - I simply need to increase risk / lot size as it's too low.
