Abdulwakeel,
Thanks for all your posts. I've seen how you help on other sites with MDP. I see your settings, but what are your settings for:
Slippage
Funky Exit
Trailing Resolution
Use Stop Orders
Hard Stop Trailing
Thanks again for your help.
jdwaldrep
basically @ default
Slippage=3
Funky Exit=true
Trailing Resolution=5
Use Stop Orders=true
Hard Stop Trailing=true
Apply ECN=true (if on hotforex, this will auto change stop orders to false [cos that of hf is 3 and mdp requires <=2] and leave hard stop as true)

Hi Wakeel,
Nice results you have! I'm wondering if you could answer a couple of questions, what avg exec time, open time, modify time, and avg requotes are you getting? Mine are 5468, 3750, 5930, and 0.06. With modify time, it is >1000 and the ea recommends lowering simultaneous orders. I'm just wondering if you're getting similar readings. Thank you.

thanks for that, mine are higher than yours, not sure how this is gonna affect profitability in the long run, but will have to wait and see. all the best with your trading.
well it's with high exec timers i had those profits. i had to reduce my Max SO to 2 just as it was suggested on the chart and i've been beta off with it

Hey wakeel,
The holiday season is right around the corner, and most markets tend to go berserk between October and December. Ever consider doing an MDP backtest for this time period? I mean a REAL backtest with precise, quality data complete with trades and settles, and trade volume on every tick; not that MQL4 junk, too haphazard and incomplete. There are a couple of places I can think of to retrieve such data at a fair price:
cqgdatafactory.com has a fairly extensive search and retrieval engine. They hold huge amounts of data, but only include ticks with bid/ask and trade volume from February 22, 2007 forward.
forextester.com just opened a new data service on their site. For VIP members, their data includes 1-minute historical data and real tick data, but only for a handful of brokerages (HotForex not included).
The output from both sites is in CSV format. Nowadays, that's an easy workaround. Just Google “.csv to .hst conversion”. I found this link on it the first go 'round: http://www.moneymakergroup.com/Forex-Data-Converters-t185540.html.
If you can think of any other data centers, please reply.
Just a little FYI

crashev, I can't tell much regarding your $ profit since you've got that locked, but based on the lot size and pips returned it looks like your running a standard/mini account (like mine), not a Currenex ECN (wakeel's). Relax, buddy, I think we all got a little b*tch-slapped this morning. In fact, you got 2 more trades than I did and BOTH were in profit! Check it out.

wakeel, no doubt we CAN run MDP during the holidays. The question is, SHOULD we and at what risk level. Notwithstanding the MQL4 backtests already run, I'd like to know what real impact we should expect running this thing at that time, volume, requotes and all. Keep in mind, MDP hit the ground mid-year this year. It's never been run live during the holidays. Something to keep in mind. 😉

mlm_busopp: I unlocked profit, my account is currenex ECN, not standard.
I don't know myfxbook interface so well yet, so have to find out how to do it.
Anyway my account is Hotforex currenex account. I use settings as Wakael, also risk at 12%. I changed today
after transaction FIFO from true to false.
