This account has a $5k deposit and a 100% deposit bonus applied from my broker, for a total of $10k. However, due to margin requirements, this setup actually increases my risk, therefore I will remove it when the account doesn't have any open positions.

Correct, high risk. I was hedging that risk by withdrawing profit every month into BTC, which has actually worked out pretty well. Despite the loss, I have more BTC now than I did before I started.
