A realistic forex return is minus 100% . For some they can make minus 100% a day others it will take a month but most peopled get there in the end

Profits generated is inversely proportional to the level of excitement from the trader. Ideally traders should be totally emotionless and just trade based on the facts of the market

Very funny. I think I was at " I want to make back my losses" after about 6 hours let alone 6 months
Making 15 to 20% profit every month !!!

Which ECN broker do you recommend? I looked into some brokers but the commissions were so high that it was better to trade with a dealing desk broker with 1 pips spread

There are two kinds of traders, those that use demo and learn how to trade, and those that start on a live account and expect to be millionaires at the end of the week . Which ones do you think are more likely to make any money!!! Demo is critical as is discipline

I do not argee. In fact I think this is utter rubbish. Yes, the psychological aspect of trading should not be ignored but the most important thing is the mechanics , strategy, risk management of trading. Get that right and there shouldn't be psychological problems.. The psychological problems only become a problem when traders don't know what they are doing

Doesn't work like that. A 0.1 Lot trade is the same on a 1:1 leverage or a 1:1000 leverage. You are still buying (or selling ) 0.1 Lot. The leverage will only affect how much money you need in your account in order to trade 0.1 Lot (this is the margin)

I find is still that some newbies try to trade with daily targets of 10 pips or 100 pips or whatever. You can only get what themarket will give you. When price is static it is impossible to make any money buy when there are large 200pip moves in a day then there are profits (or losses) to be had
