The pattern with most forex traders is scalping for a few pips, high percentage of winning trades, and your average profit about the same as your average loss. Most of these strategies are curve fitted or degrade within a year or two.I trade the exact opposite. Lose on 50% of trades, break-even on 25% and win on 25%. Average win / avg loss is 4$ and hold trades for sometimes a few days.My impression is that most cash forex traders do it as much for the money as they do to get off on gambling.
