Yeah, looks good. I wonder what would investors say moment they see their money 36% down. It might go either way, more DD or back to BE and profit. What are odds. I also wonder do these systems have daily stop loss limit or they keep trading regardless even after taking 10 losses in a row.

Master Kiwa, I tend to agree with you on many things. However regarding risk and DD I disagree.As long as people trade own funds it is their problem but those who are showing stats to attract funds should have risk and DD under control. and I think demanding high returns for small risk is not a smart thing. Hard to come buy. Small risk = adequate returns.Tend to agree about R:R. It IMHO also includes not only bigger winners than losers but also percentage of win vs lose. It is not that simple. I am referring to Topstep traders tryouts. If trader can trade profitably within those parameters on demo chances are good he will make it on live account. The problem with all guys on myfxbook that they are doing whatever they are doing and have no limits of any kind, while those who trade even demo on Topstep are trading under control and under limitation regarding downside. People also pay to participate in demo tryouts so it is not exactly demo... It is hard to make profit under those limitation and I doubt most of those who turn profit on myfxbook can do it under topstep rules. all tardes...

By tryouts I mean trading demo for 20 trading days to make 7% with max 4% loss allowance and trailing equity stop never 4% down from new equity top, never lose more than 2% a day and 55%winning days. This guy is so good I think he can do it first attempt. Then he can trade as much live as he traded on demo with prospects of trading even more.

Account results look very good. I still wonder, why with this level of skills not to try tryouts and get funded. If what is posted is true, this guy should have no problem at all to pass tryouts and get himself $30 000-150 000 right form the start. No way retail trader can make it with few thousand account. Engineers learn skills to sell those skill, so does everybody.

MasterGuru, I assume your first guess is correct as it has better odds. Large investors are more concerned with how much they can lose than how much they can make.My personal experience with TST is they give only 4% to lose when playing with their money and same 4% maximum DD for those trading demos to get their live funding until Junior traders prove themselves. They even executed trailing stop on equity for those who on demo and new live traders when trader cannot go more than 4% down from every new equity high. All trades must be closed by 4:15 p.m. EST too....
Is it easy to make 100% monthly profit for any size of account balance?

I tend to agree with JC. To make 100% monthly corresponding risk should be taken which is unacceptable. 30% annual return with good risk control is all people need. 50% is absolutely fantastic. Of course it might be possible for some time but odds are there that after a month or two of high returns account will be blown out of the water. Generally, trader should be concerned more with how much he/she can lose rather than how much he/she can win.

I tend to agree with JC. 100% requires same level of risk. it is just not acceptable. This game should be played from defensive stance. Odds are such that without proper money risk management there s no chances to survive. I think 20-30% annual return with small risk is very good.

There is way to get funded trading Demo for just 20 trading days via TST or Pulsar try outs. However I doubt it many day traders who show profit could have made it in controlled environment. The catch is that they have got so many various rules to keep traders disciplined and keep risk low that it is really not easy to make it. But it is doable.

There is way to get funded by trading Demo account for just 20 trading days. Make it through TST or Pulsar tryouts and trader gets funded. However there is so many rules I doubt many day traders who show profit here could have done so on controlled demo accounts which designed with risk first in mind. I think in all circumstances risk must be put first and profit second.

I think it is more about how much one can lose. 100% monthly sounds far fetched. Leverage is a killer.
