I'm not sure what the reason was for FXCM to separate commissions as separate entries in trade log...side effect of that is that for anyone using scripts/EAs with any kind of money management, in MQL4 OrderCommission() returns 0, obviously, so any logic/scripts dealing with money management etc needs to be rewritten.This probably does not matter for this contest since most trade manually I assume, but in real account that would be a problem Any comments?

I wish there was a poll functionality on this forum… It would be interesting to see the profile of contestants, years of trading experience, still learning(?), at demo trading stage(?), live trading(?) and for how long..I myself am at the learning stage. My question is:There seems to be a lot of issues, but I wonder how that compares to live account trading with this or other broker. Is it as painful as this?

Thanks Jason,My server is correct, currencies are added (and all works fine with other brokers). Yes, accounts with other brokers are ok on my Iphone/iPad.I just noticed that the only pair available for trading on myiphone is EURCAD, and on iPad, this one and 2 other, that's all :).All pairs are listed and show quotes, but TRADE function works only wiht these ...if this is a matter of some server side setup, I hope FXCM sypport is reading this

iOS Metatrader 4.I can see my contest account inMT4 app on my iPhone and iPad ok, but cannot place any orders .. Window to place orders does not even open.I can trade this account from PC fine.I can trade other accounts MT4 iOS app ok too, only my contest account does not work.. (Restarted everything, but no luck)Bummer, ... can trade only from PC at home ..Anyone trading ok from iOS?

I'm new to these contests too (and still learning trader), and curious what we are talking about here. Is it like to have a chance to win you need to say "all or nothing", overstretch your position size, risk, and maybe follow a trading plan, use some rules for entry/exit, but for the most part rely on luck?R
