If I have learned one thing in the 5 months I have been a trader, it is demo-test first!That said, if you share your strategy you'll get support (and some bullsh1t, but just keep a shovel handy) and insights.I did the same with my January strategy and got some valuable insights. Also, if you really do have a winner, I don't buy the myth that it stops working if everyone does it. For one thing in this business "everyone" is an awful lot of people; for another if I go long and lots of other people do too, it should push prices higher, no? Which is what I want.So share away and ...

I would never suggest a broker. Even the big guys go down sometimes and if today's wunderkind is tomorrow's bankrupt bucket shop, I don't want to have led anyone there.

OK, but I would add the MM strategy I have been using on my other trades: set SL at previous swing and set TS==SL. No TP.Always build on what ain't broken and improve it

you know what though, I think it would be great to let sPhantom spot the signals but let the users have the option of managing the TP, SL and (in my case) the TS.

Is it my imagination or on the "Open Trades" tab, is the total under the "Net Profit" column actually the total Gross profit?

an old thread on a tired subject... but I have found a different way to work and I'd be interested in opinions thereon...the only time I look at points (IE 1/10th of a pip) is when setting my lot size.1 - I establish where I think my SL should be based on the last place the price bounced in the trend's direction2 - I use MT4's crosshair tool to measure the distance from there to my price3 - I calculate ($ I'm willing to risk)/(distance in points) and round down to the nearest .01 lot for my lot size4 - I set a trailing stop equal to (distance in points)if my TS gets dragged to ...

You got the wrong guy.I said "not so hot" and it wasn't so hot.It was someone else a few posts ago who said it was in the wrong direction. I have no such knowledge. EURUSD H1 looks like an inscrutable dog's breakfast to me.

Can you explain how this is not any better than a martingale or any other kind of grid? There's never more than 2 trades open; usually only one is opened and then closed a bit later.How can the account suffer a blow unless there are open losing trades being carried forward?

Thanks for posting!I have noticed some very small amounts being risked in forums; dumb newbie question, but is that for real?I guess what I mean is, do we really have so little confidence in the market's predictability that we have to place such small orders?I'd be interested to know what people think, I have wondered about it for a while but didn't really know who / how / where to ask.

I have taken the plunge and my account is connected and verified; is there anything else I need to do? I'm assuming the reason I haven't seen any trades is that they haven't made any, but I don't actually know.Is the account in myfxbook the actual account our trades are copying?

If anyone is still reading this thread...Can anyone tell me what the heck this guy is on about?I have read his threads at FF and Oanda and so on, but it's like trying to find a usable carrot on a huge pile pf BS.I'm fairly new and interested in anything that I can learn; can anyone point me to a slightly less ridiculous resource on this topic?
