You're right. I realized a while after I posted that large sums of money are more difficult to have appreciated in value. "Richest" was perhaps too far fetched, but I believe it would be possible to make it in the top 50 over the lifetime.

Thanks for the input guys. About that 22% DD, that was when I was starting and experimenting. I don't think it's very likely to happen again anytime soon.Same thing goes for the Sharpe ratio. I expect my system to be less volatile now.

Agreed. Hypothetically, if you put all your money in fully compounded 5% per month, you'd be richest person in the world after several years. Of course, no one would ever do that with real money.
