What do you wish to achieve through forex?

I would like to get at least 2 times higher return on my investment on annual basis compared to other alternatives such as holding my money in a bank deposit. This is what I expect to achieve at some point.

I think that is the purpose of most traders out there. It's a different matter that many of us never get to that point.

I agree. But it's good to keep your goal firmly in sight and work towards it. For many people that's the only road to success.

My goal is being able to stay in the markets and trade for a long time without unnecessary suffering, and improve my self-control every day. Keep my mind as clean as possible and learn, learn, learn. Of course, I want to earn money, because a growing account is the best guarantee to being able to trade another day, but I don't want the greed to blind me.

Forex certainly can be quite stimulating in that regard. I admit that the show is sometimes a little too intense though.

Yes, but this is the adrenaline that keeps us alive! 😄 A good friend of mine finds this in driving fast, I find it in riding on the waves of the charts 😉. Good luck to you and your trading!

If I start to earn enough to pay all my bills and rent from profits in forex, that would be already a good achievement as additional income to my salary. It is not a big deal or dream, but this is what is my goal minimum.

As they say, money makes the world go round, but I don't want much. In fact, it can just supplement my existing income.
I would just love to be in a position where I can purchase a reliable vehicle (it can even be second hand!) with a tow bar and a caravan, so myself and my wife can travel a bit in our country, return and work a bit and do it over. Perhaps a camper RV will be a better investment.
I am definitely not the type of guy that wants a yacht and ferrari.
