I got 30% loss on EURGBP as well and no trading now.
The bluemonkey live test may have very high risk percent instead of default value 30.

To All that just took a 30 % DD,
Since there is not much back testing on this EA we know the risk we take when we trade an unknown, just an FYI if you look on the growth and equity chart you will see that there was a 66% DD in equity at one point, so the settings on Alex's tester must be beyond that 70-80% of deposit?? anyway the max DD tab on the tester is 32%, personally I would reduce the initial lot size to give the EA a chance to reverse for some profit before stopping out, this will not gain as fast but what good is a gain when you take such a big loss

The whole point here is to trade with money you can afford to loose. SO if you want to risk 500 per trade then that is fine. But to put your money on it and then complain that ohh I am holding x amount in floating loss. Now lets see if we lay 500 down on this and had a feel because we put it in demo first and got a couple months of what it would be like, maybe you wouldnt have these problems. What, do you expect to just pop on an EA - make a trade, have it go your way make pips , put next trade make pips, next trade make pips, and take one little 5 pip loss? So before you go to EA owner and start blabbering all your problems why dont you just test the EA yourself FIRST! We have bloody free demos account! What is the big rush, stop thinking with greed and use some common sense!

Hello Atssie,
The same happened to me.
At this moment the EA has a drawdown of $ 306, - with an accountbalance of $ 952,- dollars, see the stats of FPA.
The risk is now 31 % which is more than the official 30% risk. The vendor is not using the 30% account balance risk, otherwise he would have been stopped out now.
I am becoming more and more disappointed because there is no stop on the gridtrading activity, so taking unneccessary risks.
What I also do not understand, why is this EA always taking contrary trades and trading with reversals. It should be much easier to go with the trend and also riskfree.
Im curious if Alex with give a reaction (??)

I know there is no such thing as the holy grail FXTrader2010, though I have to agree with Mourik that it's strange to continue in a strong downtrend to not take any reversals?! I had a sell open at the opening of the 4th buy that, after the TP hit, not continue in this direction.
@Alex; could you clarify?

It looks like it is obvious, that if the vendor account is in huge drawdown, Alex is not responding at all...
Also, it looks like Alex has a problem to answer simple questions about his EA...
Despite of Alex's claims that this EA is standalone, it seems that it is only a trade copier with some money management so it means that:
1. BlueMonkey vendors have full control which pair will be traded (they simply turn off EUR/USD as you can see)
2. If EA is standalone, It shouldn't be waiting till some other open trade baskets form other traders will be closed but it should open trades independently. right?...
3. EA is so tightly bonded with EA server, that it simply can not be fully standalone EA. So sadly, it is simply only a trade copier and vendor is misleading customers. Once vendor decide not to support this EA, you can trow this copier EA to the trash because it will not open any trades at all.
And of course will never know who is the true vendor of this EA or where to find or contact him...

come on guys... its not a huge DD, its normal for this EA.
did you check the back tests prior crying????
except of a DD of 40%+ with only 1 currency.
even if the vendor said its not a martingale, its a grid system. which is near the same results= high risk system with high return too :)

I hope u are not expecting us to control the market. market goes up and goes down. it is the nature of it.
problem is, people think Alex got some magic!!! there is no magic. It is an expert advisor. There is up times and down times. if you expect anything else you are mistaken.

your EA may close all trades, but Bluemonkey possibly keep holding all opening positions.

I have no other EA running on this account. My only EA is Bluemonkey and it closed all open positions resulting in a huge loss in my account. There is no other reason for the EA (BlueMonkey) to close the trades except from your server. My account still have more than two times the floating losses. I'm using the recommended risk of 1000 with 0.02.
