This morning the EA closed all open positions on EURGBP causing a loss over USD1,600. Totally different from his account. 😡

@kobebeef
The risk percent of Bluemonkey live test is quite high,
your EA may close all trades, but Bluemonkey possibly keep holding all opening positions.
And Bluemonkey live test in myfxbook update once a day.

I have no other EA running on this account. My only EA is Bluemonkey and it closed all open positions resulting in a huge loss in my account. There is no other reason for the EA (BlueMonkey) to close the trades except from your server. My account still have more than two times the floating losses. I'm using the recommended risk of 1000 with 0.02.

@kobebeef
I use BlueMonkey as well.
2 paris: 1000 with 0.02 each
Hit 30% loss and then close all positions.
Did you ever change the chart time frame ?
I once changed chart time frame, the trading become crazy.

come on guys... its not a huge DD, its normal for this EA.
did you check the back tests prior crying????
except of a DD of 40%+ with only 1 currency.

even if the vendor said its not a martingale, its a grid system. which is near the same results= high risk system with high return too :)

Yes, this 40% drawdown is quite normal with this risky grid style trading and buyers of this EA should set up their risk management wisely (lower their risks), because if DD happened once, it is obvious that it will happen again. Thus not setting risk management correctly will make another big loses and wiped accounts. But as well, vendor should inform his customers, that life results on myfxbook are not based on "default settings" of 30%!
And my biggest concern is, that this EA is not standalone and so customers fully depend on vendors servers and future moves. It means I have no control about this EA (only money/risk management)...

@willgart; we are not crying... though its a recomendation that we set to 30% account loss. Alex should suggest to change this if that's needed to gain profit.

@Alex; could you please reply to the question from mourik? We would love to hear your vision on this and if you are going to change anything to the EA.
now or never!

Hi Alex,

may I ask you to clearly answer this question?

I would like to trade only EUR/USD but EA is making no trades on this pair.
May I ask you to explain why EUR/USD had no trades for a quite long period of time? Did you somehow deactivate it on your server? I am asking because I am not sure how much depend this EA on your server and how tight is EA bonded with the server. Also what will happen with BM EA when you will decide to stop selling and supporting it?

Thank you for the answer and have a nice day.

Hi guys,
It looks like it is obvious, that if the vendor account is in huge drawdown, Alex is not responding at all...
Also, it looks like Alex has a problem to answer simple questions about his EA...

Despite of Alex's claims that this EA is standalone, it seems that it is only a trade copier with some money management so it means that:
1. BlueMonkey vendors have full control which pair will be traded (they simply turn off EUR/USD as you can see)

2. If EA is standalone, It shouldn't be waiting till some other open trade baskets form other traders will be closed but it should open trades independently. right?...

3. EA is so tightly bonded with EA server, that it simply can not be fully standalone EA. So sadly, it is simply only a trade copier and vendor is misleading customers. Once vendor decide not to support this EA, you can trow this copier EA to the trash because it will not open any trades at all.
And of course will never know who is the true vendor of this EA or where to find or contact him...
So sad...

I am responding. Not sure what you want to hear.

I hope u are not expecting us to control the market. market goes up and goes down. it is the nature of it.

problem is, people think Alex got some magic!!! there is no magic. It is an expert advisor. There is up times and down times. if you expect anything else you are mistaken.

In case you are not sure what answer I would like to hear, here are the question once again:

I am asking because I am not sure how much depend this EA on your server and how tight is EA bonded with the server. Also what will happen with BM EA when you will decide to stop selling and supporting it?

And in response about your post, I don't understand what are you talking about. I was not commenting your trade style, only wanted to hear explanation on my question which you still didn't provide... Thats all...

Thanks

So guys,

if my math is correct, BlueMonkey EA today wiped vendors master account!!!

According https://www.forexpeacearmy.com/metatrader_expert_advisor/blue_monkey/real (which is the same account like here on myfxbook), we can do simple math and see...

- When EUR/GBP was on price 0.78518, BM master account had floating PL $-653.09 with open trades volume 5.04 nano lots (0.5L regular) and free margin was only $136.49

- Today lowest price for EUR/GBP was ~ 0.78100 which is roughly 40 pips lower, so 40 pips * 0.5L * $1.65= $330. And $136.49 (Free Margin) - $330= wiped account...
So if my math is correct....

I think, Alex will not have a guts to update his account here a show as all the final results... or? will see... :)

Hi Alex,

There's still no trade on EURUSD pair. It's been almost 4days and today is Friday which mean the EA would most likely stay out of trading today and it'll be weekend. I've been running the EA on my comp for 24/7... I do not use a VPS as it is not a requirement in your instruction or introduction. To me your EA don't seem to be functioning at all even though your email reply say everything is in order.

Why exactly?!

because the market doesnt go in the direction you'd like?

You got to be realistic.

We are fully supporting all our users and the EA will continue running.

Not for this.
But because it is a week that I paid to use the EA and has not yet been activated, and it does not work!
Because I have sent a dozen emails and you never answered!
Because the assistence can not depend on only one person!
Because just answer to the public discussion, to sell again, without giving assistance to those who have already purchased and paid!

I think they are sufficient reasons, and you?

It is highly possible.
According to experience, Alex always reply questions here quickly and update their account on time.

It seems BlueMonkey has not been updated from yesterday,
another reason is maybe Bluemonkey is moving to FXCM account.

I dun think there will be an update on this account because it will be either wiped off by the surge on GBP or IBFX will be closing all open positions before moving the account to FXCM.

Guess we will have to write off the losses and the cost of the EA.

its a grid... like a martingale its designed to crash sooner or later. we'll wait for the update of the account Monday. by the way the vendor should update it more frequently, else its useless.
there is no back test published with EURGBP, so we don't know how the EA handle this currency.

finally... remember that the DD calculated by MT4 in back tests does it counts only when there is a trade closed. it doesn't count floating DD.

you can check the forexpeacearmy published account... its what's MT4 calculates during back tests... the DD max is 10.59% and count only closed trades, while the floating DD is more than 60%. so a ratio of 6 times bigger.
imagine the impact on a back test... the back test say 40% of DD... ratio of 6... 240% floating DD...
its why a back test with a grid and martingale will always results in a margin call sooner than expected.

The vendor should use his own test formula in mt4 to calculates the real performance of the EA.
