Hi Gwindy,
I am opening a new account with IC Markets ECN at beginning of July, 2015.
I want to trade manually with low spreads and no slippage or very minimum slippage of maximum 2.5 pips on Gbpusd.
If all work well, every month, I can make from 30% to 100% consistently and using Compounding of profits, I can grow my account very fast.
By the way, Don_wanz, you are very bold when setting up 12 lots based on account equity of 3,516 usd. You really like "NO PAIN, NO GAIN".

Hello all!
Now two days up and running VTP with a $10k FXCM demo account (CustomLotSize=2). Both James and Don have been helping me out. Thanks, guys. :)
I got +6 pips entry slippage on the 06.18 order, closing subsequently with not +14, but +8 pips. Don't know why. Volatility was not crazy then, and I have a good computer and internet connection. The oddest thing is that on 06.17 and 06.18 the master account logged two orders each day, while I received only one order each day. If it'll help anybody, can show order screens.
Sent an email to Doug, asking for help on these issues.
Doug quickly clarified one issue for me: the installation instructions say to set the mt4 variable CalculateLotsMode = #3-CustomLotSize. In my freshly downloaded mt4 from FXCM, #3 selection is called FixedLotSize, which I set.

There are not many good US brokers still around. I like FXCM. You might want to consider a good offshore broker. Tallinex and MyFxChoice are good. Also, look at the last four trades below. You will notice that they do not follow the US FIFO rules.

IcMarkets seem a decent broker. I've traded with them for the last couple of months. I have been with many other brokers before. But mind you, I' haven't yet tried Doug's EA and planning to do today.
I saw here these brokers names Hotforex, Fxcm, Thingforex etc..these are not suitable for these type of trading(to say at least). these guys eat through your profits, if you make any with them, that is, every way they can.

Somehow Clickbetter has problem with my Visa and gives me "payment declined message" while my bank doesn't receive any payment requests. I called and send email to their support but nothing yet... I have used clickBank before but don't have any experience using Clickbetter. Have other customer complained about their service and/or had payment issue?
-I am interested in $347 payment method (lack USD). will i be able to switch to $799 there after if I like your system?
- Is this a trade coping service or on-board full functioning, individual, independent EA? I did fill in my name and email when i entered the website. I'm not sure where/how one could sign up. I don't see any mention of / access to copier on your website. Hope I'm not looking toooo stupid..

About IC-Markets and VTP.
I have been trading VTP in IC-Markets ECN Account since day 1 I purchased VTP (Almost 3 months now) and I must say it has copied the trades very well. Not huge slippage.
Certainly I recommend IC-Markets. They have awesome spreads although they are not the cheapest in the commissions and fees. They also work quick when it comes to withdrawals. (if interested in letting me make some money, please let me know and I can provide you my ICMarkets affiliate code... ;-) )In any case, I recommend them.

+++ To Edwardopp: I am just forward-testing on demo account of IC Markets about my new manual trading strategy yesterday, and I compared it with my Hotforex Live account. Wow, the price filled at IC Markets is 0.9 pip to 1.2 pips BETTER than my Hotforex live account.
I wonder if the spreads on live account at IC Markets are same as on their demo account ? Can you check and advise me on this? Thanks.
Well, attached file is my Scalping strategy on Gbpusd with Low risk and High return per month. The max drawdown is 15% - 25%, while Monthly Profit will be from 40% - 100% consistently.

I am setting up Risk % on this demo account at 15% yesterday, and made 7 winners in a row.
Today, June 19, 2015, I just reset Risk % = 20%, and each time, I will enter 8 trades in a row.
So, if you follow and use on your live account, reduce your risk % = 10%, which is half of my lot size positions.
Because I trade manually, I do not put Take profit and Stop Loss, But do not worry. I always cut off any losing trades at maximum 35 pips Loss per trade, while my Take Profit will be from 5 pips to 40 pips per trade, depending on how Market price moves on Gbpusd.
I also COMPOUND Profits to grow account MUCH FASTER. So, you will see Lot sizes INCREASES when Profits are made, and DECREASES when Losses are incurred.
If testing on IC Markets is ok, I will move to IC Markets, and will use VTP EA on it to have more profits next month.

1. I can see the spreads on demo account of IC Markets are really LOW. Can you please check and tell me if the spreads on their demo account and real account ARE SAME AT ALL TIMES? Thanks.
2. How many Pips are their highest Slippage that you have noticed for the last few months that you used them with VTP EA? Especially how many Pips slippage during Big News Events like: Non-farm payroll day, Bank Interest decision days, FOMC, etc? This is very important for trading both EA and Manual. Please advise.

Please note well that with my own manual trading that I just fine-tuned, from small account of 300 usd, and using Compounding profits, you will see that the Lot sizes will increase to few hundred lots in few short months for sure.
When account grows to 10k usd Mark, you can see that the Lot sizes per month will be over 100 lots. Just check my above demo account, starting with 3k usd yesterday, and you will see the Potential.
In just 1 day, I already traded at 1.54 lots, based on 3k usd account. From today, you will see the lot sizes are MUCH MORE, because I increase risk % to 20%, and 8 trades per time.
Please remember that we must be FAIR on Win-win solution. Hi all,
We have got 2 buy trades on gpbusd from VTP EA. And we are in floating loss of more or less 50 pips.
If 1.5815 holds strong, then, we will see Gbpusd move up strongly again, but if this level is broken, our stop loss will be hit.
The inverted Head and Shoulder on big timeframe has neckline around 1.5930 - 1.5960, and this explains why we have seen a lot of Profit Taken by professional traders, Institutions, Hedge funds, and Banks.
Let's see how far they want to Take Profit by going shorts on Gbpusd since yesterday. Also, today is Friday, I do not think price of Gbpusd will go up any strong because it has in fact gone up too much without much retracement in this week.
Tonight, I will trade on Gbpusd around 1 hour before market is closed and leave trades open until next Monday. You can check on my demo account at IC Markets, and see how I scalp the markets.
I just increased the Risk % = 25% now to see the real potential growth of my manual scalping strategy and how much is the max drawdown with this High Risk % set-up. But I strongly trust my manual strategy, and I also want to show John562 that trading at HIGH LOT SIZES every time always make BIG PROFITS but Risks are still UNDER GOOD CONTROL all the times.
Even at high risk % above, I always decide to cut losses at 29 - 30 pips maximum per trade, and my TAKE PROFIT TARGET is from 5 pips to 40 pips per trade. My win rate % will be 82% at minimum.
I bet that John562 dares to reverse my trades and trade against my trade direction, because I know for sure he will lose big money by doing so.
After 1 month, I will change Investor password. I open this demo account at IC Markets in order to test how good, how reliable they are in terms of Slippage and Spreads. If anything is ok to me, I will open live account and trade with them, and leave Hotforex next month. So, no need for me to waste time on trading on demo account then.

Every time we are in huge dd,do not know how he survived like this soo long.His risk settings are more then crazy 10k from 1 to 1.8 lot(for low risk).I hope we survive and will put it on 0.5 on 10k

Hi Mihaaaa,
That is why we should set up low risk lot size when using any EAs, even VTP EA is a consistent winning ea every month, but when stop loss is hit, we will suffer big drawdown, and dare not use it to recoup our losses.
I see that VTP EA will make us long-term profits as long as we set up low risk lot size. For example, 1k usd, we will set up 0.05 lot size per trade. So, 10k usd, we will set up 0.5 lot size per trade, etc. But to be VERY SAFE, we must set up 0.3 lot size per 10k usd, and so, 0.03 lot size per 1k usd.
You can copy my manual trades on Gbpusd everyday and make profits to make up for some losses from VTP EA.
I already gave my Investor password above. Please note that I set up 25% risk on my 3k usd account. So, if you use Live account, please reduce risk down to 10%, or you can reduce my lot sizes by HALF, and you are safe to go.
I just want to help any losing traders to recoup their losses when they trade manually or with any eas so far. If any other help, you can contact me via email or skype. I already put my contact information here. So far, many traders here already know how I could help them. And yes, all are FREE OF CHARGE as up to now. Haha.

With all the talk of brokers, are there any fellow UK people here using VTP with a spread betting account? If so, who are you using and how to you rate them?
I'm currently using ETX and find the spreads pretty poor so want to look elsewhere but it seems all spread bet providers I've found have rubbish spreads.
