Hi Will,As you are well aware trading xauusd on a high time frame , you do and will need deep pockets without a proven strategy.Can i ask, do you trade spot gold yourself using pre defined entry and exit levels? or just on a long term bias/sentiment ?

Watch YouTube video'sRead the BooksJoin in Chat ForumsBut none of the above will give you a winning strategy, and edge to be successful in the Fx market place.Open a Demo/Sim Trading account to learn the general trade on ,trade off in trading ,playing with TA and lagging indicators on the chartsAll of the above are where most of us retail traders start.But in reality its down to Pattern recognition and Screen time, and i mean a lot of screen time. to learn how the candles are painted on the charts.

Hi CT 621All Traders take losses, that is part of the profession, but it is how you manage and control the trade /loss ( that is another conversation)You make many comments in your post about your psychology problems, could this be due to you haven't found a Consistently % winning strategy (wins & losses)?If your strategy was consistently % profitably over X trades over X days weeks months then this may help to alleviate your problems, (You must have a proven strategy) Period.Regarding books, google Steve Ward he has a couple of books out which may help.Good luck on your Journey.

Indicators will not make you money on there own, let me clarify, Without a structured trading plan.Which consists of StrategyEdge (If you have no edge, you will blow up) period.Money managementRisk rewardand all the usual caveats .But 99% Of indicators are lagging they tell you where you are on the chart NOW or have been in the past.You need to study predictive edge indicators to give you a chance in trading.
