Commodity Channel Index (CCI) Indicator
Developed by Donald Lambert, the Commodity Channel Index (CCI) is a momentum-based oscillator. It is normally used to identify when there is a new trend or alternatively to warn of an extreme condition (overbought / oversold). The CCI measures the current price level relative to an average price level over a given period of time. CCI is relatively high when prices are far above their average, but is relatively low when prices are far below their average.
