消費者信心指數

美國經濟諮商局(Conference Board)發佈的消費者信心(Consumer Confidence)指數是評估消費者對商業環境、就業和個人收入的信心。通過數以千計的郵件調查方式,美國諮商局消費者信心指標有最廣泛的消費者採樣。消費者信心水準通常與消費者支出息息相關。當消費者信心上升時,消費者支出傾向增加;另一方面,消費者信心下降,消費者需求通常減少。一些分析人士批評美國諮商局的消費者信心資料波動太大,與家庭支出相關性不強,他們更傾向使用密歇根大學的消費者信心資料。美國諮商局的消費者信心波動大主要是受兩個因素影響∶受訪者規模以及調查的時間範疇。諮商局的調查是每個月詢問不同群體,導致月與月的資料有變動。此外,調查徵詢的是對未來六個月的預期,是一個較為短期的評估。相反,密歇根消費者信心是重複調查許多受訪者並且預期的時間範疇為未來1到5年,因而該資料更加穩定。此經濟事件將對美元走勢產生一定影響。如公佈的資料高於預期將支撐(或作多)美元,如數據低於預期將壓制(或作空)美元。
