西太平洋消费者信心指数

墨尔本大学经济与商务学院(Faculty of Economics and Commerce Melbourne Institute)公布的西太平洋消费者信心(Westpac Consumer Confidence)是衡量消费者对经济环境的信心强弱程度,反映消费者对经济的看法以及购买意向。该报告中既包括消费者对过去经济及现状和就业市场的评价,还包括对未来一年和五年内经济和就业市场的预期,以及有关家庭收入情况和是否计划购买房子、汽车等消费品的问题。消费者信心指数上升表示消费者有较强烈消费商品与服务意愿,有利经济扩张,而消费者信心指数下降则表明消费者消费意愿不强,经济有可能趋缓。一般说来,若消费者信心上升将利好或可看涨澳元,反之如数据下滑将压制或可看跌澳元。
