美國商業部經濟分析局(Bureau of Economic Analysis, Department of Commerce)負責搜集和公佈的個人消費(Personal Spending)是衡量個人購買商品或服務消費的總市場價值。消費水準經常作為衡量消費者樂觀情緒的指標。也被認為是考量經濟增長的指標:當個人開支增加伴隨著通脹壓力的增大,將增加美聯儲提升利率的預期。如公佈的資料好於預期將利好(或可看漲)美元,如數據低於預期將利淡(或可看跌)美元。
